Spooky Waters: An Afternoon of Haunted Hydrology with Geo Rutherford

Dive into some of the fascinating, quirky, and sometimes eerie histories of the Great Lakes and remarkable bodies of water around the globe with artist, educator and TikTok sensation Geo Rutherford. Geo will cover some of her favorite creepy stories and odd features of the natural world, and talk about the art and writing process that went into the creation of her best-selling books, Spooky Lakes (2024) and Spooky Rivers (2026).  

Geo Rutherford is a Sauk City, Wisconsin–based artist, author, educator, and social media phenomenon. She is the creator of Spooky Lake Month, a popular video series with millions of views on TikTok and Instagram. Her videos investigate shipwrecks, toxic lakes, unusual ice formations and other strange hydrological phenomena, blending science, history, and storytelling to captivate a global audience.
